Video Tutorial: DIY Drum Carder Overview

This is a guest post by Spencer:

A while back, we posted a video of our new DIY drum carder in action. Since then, Melissa has learned a lot about carding and the machine has transformed a lot of raw fiber. Since posting that first video, I’ve been wanting to post a more detailed overview of the carding machine and all of its moving parts.

Here’s the video. Feel free to post comments, suggestions, questions, etc. here or over on the YouTube page. I still haven’t built a spinning wheel yet, but am putting it on my list for 2016.

you could totally learn!! It’s fun to play with the fiber part before it turns into yarn. But my boys are the real heroes here coming up with the machine out of nothing! poof!
