Woolen Mills!

Happy weekend to everyone! I am WIPing away on my socks–maybe I’ll have one FO for you next week?? But, boy oh boy, is my teaching schedule truly kicking my butt this semester!

For today, a couple of links to a few fun woolen mill tours! Woolen mills are some of my favorite places. I have visited one in person, and I’m hoping to see many more. But, for now, I am very satisfied to listen and watch some virtual tours–maybe you have the same bug? Or maybe you’ve never seen how wool is produced? It’s so cool.

The first is Bartlett Yarns Woolen Mill featured in PBS’s Out and About (embedding won’t work for this one, but just click the link to head over to PBS): http://player.pbs.org/viralplayer/2365646711

And, second, is an excellent Fiber Trek tour of Starcroft Fiber Mill (which really began it all for me):

Next up, a brand new Net Nebraska feature for Brown Sheep Wolen Mill:

And, finally, Custom Woolen Mills–a fun story of what happens when you have too much fleece . . .

May your weekend be full and fun, folks!
