Zombies! and Yarn?

Warning: Super Nerd (fan girl) Posting Ahead!

The Walking Dead . . . a trifecta of awesome this week:

1) finale of season 6–which I watched without my knitting (eep! big mistake!)

2) screening  TWD season 1 episode 1 for my science fiction class! The next couple of weeks are all zombies all the time! Including World War Z (the Max Brook’s novel, not the Brad Pitt film–though they both have their place . . .)

3) . . . zombie stitch markers! They are a real thing! And I managed to snag a few from one of my Facebook buddies. I realize that some of you may not be *as* excited as I am right now, but I basically stalked the post box all morning long.

These lovelies(?) are from DarnYarnMN . . . but has anyone else noticed the proliferation of TWD yarning merchandise–licensed or not–out there? I LOVE some of the yarn colorways, including LBArtYarn’s TWD Collection (which I have long coveted) that includes beauties such as “Walker on Your Windshield

There is also Groovy Hues’ “Hair of the Walker that Bit Ya“; APIFIBERCO’s “Walker” Merino/Silk Spinning Fiber; and Supernatural Yarns “Little Ass Kicker

Indeed, listing these off, I feel like a kid again out to collect them all–I can never collect them all, darn it!–but keep up the good work, Indie Dyers. TWD fans need your fibers!

Happy weekending!

  1. Those are a complete and utter hoot! I’m thinking stocking stuffers for my knitting daughters!

Oh my! Zombies stitch markers… I am so behind fashion – I still use my pins for stitch marker purposes 🙂 I tried to watch Walking Dead once, I got scared, turned off my computer and never watched it again. Haha 🙂

Alina–you are the one person i know who is UP on fashion! TWD is definitely not for the feint of heart, but then again, I’ve never *really* watched it . . . I’m always hiding behind my knitting and treating it like an audio book (which is still scary!)
