In Progress: Waiting for Rain

I’ve been working on my second shawl–ever! And I love it. I also think I (finally) have a better understanding of lace. I’m about to finish this up, but I wanted to record the process here at least once. This is “Waiting for Rain” by Sylvia McFadden. I went with a 2-color version that includes some–but minimal stripes. The lace panels are like blue-grey windowpanes in the garter stitch architecture. I’m using Madeline Tosh Twist Light (it’s a singles yarn) and I’m very curious how it will wear.  Now, to finish off those final rows and block it!
