KNITCRATE Subscription Boxes!

First up, the April Sock Crate Membership brought some sparkle into my life. It was called Golden Hour and included a simple, but elegant sock pattern along with the skein. The yarn is from KNITCRATE’s own line, Vidalana which is a 70/20/10 blend of SW Merino, nylon, and stellina.

I really loved the May Sock Crate Membership the most–it contained a cool speckled skein from KNITCRATE’s Audine Wools yarn in the “Weekend” colorway–bummer that this one sold out, because it’s a pretty blend of 75/15/10 SW Merino, nylon, and *cashmere*  . . . but I suspect the folks at KNITCRATE have some other beauties up their sleeve for the coming months!

And, finally, the May Artisan Crate was full–as usual–with a hearty portion of yarn: two incredible skeins from an indie dyer!! And a set of patterns, one for beginner and one for intermediate knitters. The yarn, Fleece Artist Tree Wool in the “Cataylst” colorway, is a super soft blend of 70/30 Merino, Tencil that was dyed only for KNITCRATE–I love the Apex shawl pattern, including all of the buttons on the border–which are also included IN the box! Once I have an open project bag, I think this would be a cool project as it really plays with space-dyed yarn, allowing the colors and textual pattern to play off each other to nice effect.
