It’s happening . . . Shorn III is about to be launched into the world on July 16th! This year, the launch also coincides with the launch of my new website AND the Flock Farm Yarn Shop! Yes, you read that correctly: I’m opening an online shop that specializes in indie, small-batch farm yarns. Oh, I hope you are as excited as I am! 😊
Until July 16th, the shop will appear “closed”–but it will pop open just in time for the launch!
Here is your sneak peek . . . and if you want to be added to the Flock Yarn Shop email list so that you can stay up-to-date and have access to special offers, and early-bird presales, please email me at email@example.com to be added to the list. The next update will go out on July 14th, and you don’t want to miss it!
Shorn Yarn Info
Shorn III is a 3-ply fingering weight yarn that has approximately 250yds per 2.5oz. It’s in a beautiful natural white made up of Corriedale and Teeswater wool from right here in Illinois! We cared for some of Cathe’s sheep from Seven Sisters Farm on our own pastures this summer and this blend is durable, next-to-skin soft, and perfect for cables and texture. It was milled in the midwest, at Stonehedge Fiber Mill, and it’s all natural–no synthetic stuff, no dyes, nothing but awesome, natural fiber!
I’m so excited to feature the work of two designers for this launch: Laurie Lamont and Amy Engelbrecht-Wiggans. Laurie designed a gorgeous hat with fun tassels and Amy designed socks and mitts just for this yarn. Both take full advantage of the round, 3-ply yarn to make their cables pop!
